Cathy Tupper grew up in Northern Maine on a Dairy Farm. She moved to New Mexico in 1983. Cathy's profession is as an Emergency Room Nurse at West Mesa Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Although High School was Cathy's first exposure to art, she developed a life long love affair with painting. She is self-taught because her occupation does not allow much time for art classes. However, she manages to rise every morning with the sun to paint a few hours before work. Her early work depicted her surroundings on the oceans of New England but since moving to New Mexico, her work is mostly southwestern landscapes.
Cathy's work is on display at Marketplace Gallery in Albuquerque and Mercy Hospital in Portland Maine, as well as private collections all over the United States.
