She moved to Albuquerque from Boston ten years ago in search of sun and family. Even though she was not expecting it, she also revived her love of art. During her young adult years, in the Middle West, she learned to screen print. With her skills and talents she made serigraphed cards and invitations for friends. Her art took second place later in life due to the development of her science career in Cell Biology. After her move to Albuquerque, however, she found the time and space to pursue her love of art.
Initially, in Albuquerque, she pursued screen printing using modified methods to avoid noxious chemicals and allow for work at home. She enjoyed designing multilayered images and watching each printed color slowly form an image. She produced multiple prints ranging from flowers to big machinery. She also created and sold serigraphed note cards.
Recently Clancy switched her primary medium from serigraphy to cutouts. Preparing cutouts, designing images and playing with colors is a fluid and flexible process that Clancy greatly enjoys.
